To mark this special occasion, we're creating the OpenCat Robot Around the World Documentary Video project! We're inviting you to take photos or create a fun video showcasing your robot's adventures and be part of a global compilation video.
How to participate in the contest
Showcase Your OpenCat Robot with Photos or Videos
- We suggest including any of these elements, but you are free to be creative
- Show fun moments (for instance while you build your own robot, or make it perform tricks)
- Highlight its personality, skills & stories
- Incorporate elements from your local culture, such as traditional music, landmarks, or attire
- Any of these formats
- Photo
- Show your robots and robot kits in clear pictures. You can submit as many photos as you want
- Video
- the minimal resolution should be 1080px which most smartphones support
- We recommend one of these video editing software to crop your video, Shotcut or veed.io to edit your video if needed
Submit Your Entry
- Post on Social Media:
- Post your video or photos on your favorite social media platform.
- Tag @petoicamp and use the hashtags #Petoi #OpenCat #RobotPet #Robotics #PetoiContest
- Optionally, post about the region where you are in so that we may show your submission on a map.
- Email the link of your social media post to support+contest@petoi.com.
You can submit multiple entries.
Be a Part of OpenCat Robot Around the World Documentary Video
- We will select the most creative parts of video and photo submissions.
- The final compilation will be showcased on our social media, newsletter, and blogs.
Submission Deadline
The deadline is August 13, 2024 (Pacific Time). We will count the social media likes on Monday, August 14.
Awards
Every entry will have a chance to win one of these amazing awards:
- Petoi’s Choice Award: Petoi selects a winner based on creativity, storytelling, and overall appeal.
- Audience’s Choice Award: The social media post that receives the most likes (minimum 10 likes).
The award winners will be featured in special interviews or have their stories highlighted in Petoi’s media communication.
Note: We reserve the right not to select a winner if none of the entries meets the criteria for winning.
Prizes
The winner can choose any one of the following items and a Petoi tee:
- A brand-new Petoi Robot 🐶 or 🐱
- A $200 Petoi Coupon (use this to purchase DIY robotics kits & parts)
- A $100 Amazon Gift Card
Winners Announcement
We will announce the winner on August 19, 2024 (Pacific Time) and contact the winners directly through email or social media.

By submitting a media (photo or video) to our contest, you agree to the following terms:
- Ownership: You retain ownership of your submitted media.
- Usage Rights: By submitting your media, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the media for promotional purposes.
- Third-Party Rights: You confirm that your media does not infringe on any third-party rights and that you have obtained all necessary permissions.
